Global Voices

A collaboration between Ecostage and the Society of British Theatre Designers to collect and showcase films from performing arts practitioners made in response to the climate crisis.

The Global Voices Archive launched at COP26 at CCA Glasgow as part of the People’s Summit for Climate Justice, and was also shown in the Eco-lounge at World Stage Design 2022 in Calgary. It’s an ongoing project, with a growing online archive of films, drawn from a wide variety of arts practitioners around the world. The archive is available to be shown at exhibitions and events.

The archive includes entries from a wide range of people, including poets, designers, social activists, academics and filmmakers, who are grappling with the effects of the climate crisis on their creative practices and communities, and how the socio-political and economic landscape is changing.

It’s an ongoing open call – if you have something to add, we’d love to hear from you!
