Andrea Carr is an artist, eco-scenographer, facilitator and Ecostage co-founder.
The design for ’stuck’ tells the story of ecological collapse through a subterranean landscape sculpted from abandoned festival camping equipment. Nature is represented as petrified and flowing forms, we do not know whether it is present, past or future.
The show is part art-installation, part absurdist theatre, and uses clowning, rhetoric and soft sculpture to examine our cultural paralysis toward our changing planet.
Materials were gathered from the clean-up operation at Reading Festival, the shocking site of a sea of festival waste prompted Andrea to speak out.
