Our first Ecostage one-day lab took place at St. Margaret’s House in Bethnal Green, East London. It was a great success. Bringing together a range of practitioners with speakers from different parts of the performing arts sector, it culminated in the collaborative creation of a visual response to the seven Ecostage interconnecting principles.
We were particularly pleased to deliver this in partnership with St. Margaret’s House, a fantastic charity that supports numerous local organisations, as well as running an impressive programme of cultural and community-building events alongside its café and charity shop. It has recently become a significant hub for creative health, and the strong resonance between their work and our emphasis on the core trio of sustainability, creativity and wellbeing (or planet, people and practice, as we sometimes phrase it) is really what led them to host the event.
