The Society of British Theatre Designers Sustainable Design Working Group is launching its much-anticipated Guide to Sustainable Materials for Theatre Design on Zoom, 23rd July at 5pm, and we’d love to see you there!
The idea of the guide is to share materials from a practitioner’s perspective: not just whether their claims to be sustainable are valid, but also whether you can paint them, glue them, shape them, etc. Three of Ecostage’s co-directors, Andrea Carr, Ruth Stringer and Paul Burgess, along with Ecostage associate Kira Curtis, have all contributed to it. It’s an amazing collective effort from a large team of busy but dedicated designers and makers, all brought together by an inspiring amount of hard and brilliant work from project lead Hamish Muir.
