We had a lovely afternoon at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, running a workshop with the Production Arts students. After a general introduction to our work, we focused on the Ecostage Framework, our project planning and reflection tool.

Normally, we get people to work on a randomly generated project brief, so they can focus on the framework as a planning tool, but this was the first day of a new project, in which groups of students would be creating work around mundane tasks. We did still introduce some random elements, but kept their main theme. The students were soon coming up with wonderfully imaginative ideas, and engaged with the framework quickly, enabling them to develop those ideas in ways that take responsibility for their relationships with Nature, social responsibility, wellbeing (of artists as well as audience), and the future.

Tailored versions of this workshop are available for students and professionals to help develop and reflect on creative and professional practice, as well as specific projects. Get in touch to have a chat.

We’ll leave you with some images from the session at GSMD.
