Dysbiosis: Creative Nature Workshops

Thanks to Creative Community Support awarded to us by Rainham Change Makers as part of the Havering Changing project, Daedalus Theatre Company’s latest community programme is now live.

This programme of workshops in Rainham and Wennington will be a fun chance for people living in the area to meet up, relax, get artistic and contribute to a collaborative artwork to be displayed at Rainham Royals and Queens Theatre Hornchurch. Their work will ultimately join contributions from the professional artists working on the Dysbiosis project and the Queens Young Company members in an ambitious, cross-disciplinary exploration of the many ways we experience and respond to Nature – especially the many green spaces of Havering.

The workshop programme will kick off on 24th Feb with a group visit to the unique and inspiring Rainham Marshes RSPB bird reserve, and continue over the next few weeks with workshops in Rainham and Wennington.

Daedalus Theatre Company’s Artistic Director is Ecostage co-director Paul Burgess, and this project represents an attempt to work to Ecostage Principles, with particular focuses on environmental sustainability, Nature connection, co-creativity and deep democracy. The project also stems partly from Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
