Can you tell us something about yourself?
Andie Scott is an international fine artist and award winning designer for film and theatre. She has created set and costumes for Theatre, Opera and Circus . Her designs focus on being 95% sustainable and recyclable. Andie has designed acclaimed theatre touring shows including 'From Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads' written and directed by Adrian Berry, Mis Havisham's Expectations performed by Linda Marlowe written and directed by Di Sherlock. Her specialist knowledge of designing costumes for circus include shows devised and directed by Peta Lily for NCCA and Jackson's Lane Theatre. She has exhibited in the UK, Paris, Hong Kong, New York Prague and Moscow. She has worked extensively in creating community engaged exhibitions and environmental interventions, running workshops for children and partially sighted adults. She designed and ran childrens sculpture workshops, mural projects and gardens for The National Portrait Gallery, National Tourings Exhibitions, Islington and the Whitechapel Gallery.
What was the turning point when you became ecologically aware and decided to take action?
Working on from Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads 2016 directed by Adrian Berry. Trying to create a set which could form any number of configurations using a tube clamp system for touring in a transit van
