Part of our Ecostage team are heading to the North West coast to help out at a local event with national responsibility.

Organised by the Lytham St Annes Eco Group, and hosted at the Lowther Pavilion, Kira is joining a team of panellists to facilitate conversation following a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing.

What is the People’s Emergency Briefing?

“­The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future.

This new film from the National Emergency Briefing sets out the risks facing the nation – and the credible, positive responses available – in a clear and accessible account designed for screenings in communities across the UK. – NEB Website (https://www.nebriefing.org/) 

Popping up near you, all over the nation, people are lobbying for a national televised screening in order to spread the facts about climate change in our current climate. These smaller hosted screening are way to build up momentum, share knowledge and invite local politicians, businesses and residents into the conversation.

Following the screening, each session has time for discussion, and opportunity to find out more in your local area.

People’s Emergency Briefing at Lowther Pavilion, Lytham St Annes

In Lytham St Annes, the local eco group and Kira from Ecostage will be there to help facilitate this conversation and share opportunities for ecological thinking in everyday life and a variety of industries. Members of the local political groups, big and small businesses owners, and a number of residents are expected to be there.

Hopefully, this will be the first of many to come in the area, with the current closest ones being over in Lancaster, hosted by Mike Berners-Lee himself.
